How to learn indonesian

"I have learnt some Indonesian, not sure if I could hold up a conversation but I can definitely say a few things and understand a little."
How I did it: I went to the centre for adult education and did one class a week. It went for about three months. It was worth doing but it made it apparent to me that unless you get a chance to use a language or have the discipline to continue practicing it is really not so useful as it is enjoyable. If you were able to get a chance to go to Indonesia after the course I am sure you would actually get an ear and improve. I am not sure if I will do the second course at this stage.
Lessons & tips: Try not to miss the classes and revise the classes weekly. Expect to put aside some time to study.
