"Practice, practice, practice...and feel like wearing high heels!"
How I did it: I bought a pair of high heels for my latin dance class so I was forced to learn walking in them. At first I just tried a little bit in my house until I felt safer and wasn't struggling anymore. Then I made myself do some tiny trips to friends or into the city in heels always with an additional pair of flat shoes in my bag, just in case. After one month of improving I felt comfortable enough to join dance classes and I did it. I was still a little bit wobbly but I didn't hurt myself or anything else.
I'm still improving but by now I'm really happy in heels and can walk for miles.
Lessons & tips:
- buy shoes with a wider heel rather than with those tiny heels, they feel more comfortable
- shoes should be fixed closely to your feet, you feel safer this way! no strappy ones if you aren't used to it!
- practice! practice!!!
- try going out with them and have some others in your bag. if you never dare to use heels you'll never manage to learn it!
