"The napping and relaxation was more than worth the social stigma associated with rank laziness"
How I did it: I woke up and felt like crud. So, I opened up the laptop and e-mailed the team, telling them how I felt. I also told them that I would not be visiting the office or occupying my chair for the day. I also told them that they could e-mail or IM me, and maybe I'd reply. Or, maybe not. I then went back to sleep. Then I woke up and cleared out a lot of e-mail. And, played some online poker for 15 minutes. But, that gave me a headache, so I went back to sleep. Now I'm writing this. Time for another nap, or at this point (6:13pm), I'll just go to sleep. Good night.
Lessons & tips: Make the decision early, and act on it.
