How to eat more organic
How I did it: 7 years ago my uncle became very ill, and my mom started to research possible causes of his illness. She started to read about the effects of pesticides, and decided to start buying organic food. It was a slow process - it's was hard to quit "easy" and processed foods that we used to just throw into the microwave. Not to mention it was more expensive. We started only buying organic fruits and veggies, but now we have an almost completely 100% organic household (it took about 3 years to go almost 100%). Ever since I've "gone organic", I've lost 40 llbs, increased my energy, my skin looks better, I rarely get sick anymore, and I don't have asthma or IBS like I did before! It's been an incredible transformation, I couldn't imagine going back to conventional foods!!
Lessons & tips: Keep an eye out for sales, there's been lots of times where something organic that's on sale turns out to be cheaper than the conventional food. Also, as long as you have some organic foods, it's better than nothing!
