How to be a big sister

I have a friend who was a Big Sister.

She didn’t have much money at all. They did a lot of free activities. For example, they would spend a few hours kicking a soccer ball in the park. And they would go once/ month to visit elderly people in a local nursing home. They went to the public library together. My friend would help her Little Sis with her homework. It seems like if a “Big” is creative, there are countless cheap or free things to do together!

Definitely, it’s important to have enough time to spend with a child, but I honestly think money is much less of a consideration than one might imagine.

In any case, good for you for becoming a Big Sister!
