How to be on stage
It made me
fall in love. 
"This was one of the most unique experiences of my life."
How I did it: I was involved in my high school's production of The Compleat Works of Wllm Shkspr (Abridged). The person we cast as Juliet had to quit, and I offered to fill in. The performance was great.
Lessons & tips: Listen to yourself. By the same token:
Listen to your director.
Listen to your stage manager.
Be ambitious--especially if you're involved in ways OTHER than acting--but don't let your ambition overwhelm you to the point that you get nothing done.
