How to overcome anorexia
How I did it: Throughout the entire thing I was slightly aware of what was going on, but it felt like I had control so I loved doing it. One day I realized it had gone too far, that I wasn't in control and never had been. I talked to my boyfriend about it and he helped me get back into eating. In the beginning I ate for him. After I started feeling better both physically and mentally I started loving food again. I still have insecurities and setbacks but I'm quicker to admit it's an insecurity about who I am than about what I look like.
Lessons & tips: One thing that I've come to understand is that once you get to the point of hating your body, the tipping point isn't far away. You always have to take care of yourself. Remind yourself you're beautiful for all your imperfections, inside and out, no matter how certain you are of confidence. It's a continuous process. Good luck to all of you!
