How I did it: i scheduled an appointment &sat in a chair with the foild on my head for around three hours and then got it toned for another half hour and then i was done ;-P my hair is normally a pretty dark shade of brown, so it took quite a long time to get all of the color out.

Lessons & tips: i recommend cancelling out any other colorings/hilights you have planned for your hair for about the next month and a half...bleaching is actually stripping the hair of it's color and is a strenuous process for your hair. it breaks, splits and damages your hair terribley. it took me about 3 weeks to get my hair back to normal again...so don't go out and get it dyed the next day or you may be bald :-S yuck
