How to finish my doll entry for the Puyallup fair

"I created a cloth doll from a pattern but made it my own with a lot of creativity and embellishments."
How I did it: I used a Lynn Butcher pattern called "Flynn" to create my genie. I used fabric that was originally bought for my daughters competition dress. I used some old costume jewelry and beads to spiffy him up.
Lessons & tips: If you want to learn cloth dollmaking, take a class online or in person at a quilt shop or doll convention. There are lots of cloth doll groups on Yahoo Groups where you can learn too.
