How to lose weight
How I did it: Simple. I used an Excel sheet and counted calories, looking up the values in various calorie-related recources online. I made sure I didn't eat more than 1500 calories per day and was fairly strict about it. I also changed the sort of food I was eating: hardly any starch except wholegrain bread (no potatoes, no pasta, no rice). Lots of vegetables, fruits and lean meats.
I used the Excel sheet to fill in my weight and calorie-intake on a daily basis. The sheet produced a nice graph. Watching it trend downwards was very stimulating.
I lost 4 kilos from january to june just 'watching what I was eating' and 13 from july to november, using the method describe above.
Lessons & tips: Don't do it half-heartedly. Learn to enjoy simple, healthy food.
