How to complain less
"There were too many times where I found myself in a group of people and we would all be saying, "My head hurts, I'm tired, I don't want to be here, I'm hungry, blah, blah, blah...""
How I did it: It took some time to retrain myself. Rather than contributing to the list of ailments during complaining sessions I would make light of the situation and change the subject. Rather than complaining about a headache, I try to get rid of it. Etc.
Lessons & tips: It takes a while to change habitual behavior. It's just a matter of stopping yourself, and redirecting your thoughts. I think that complaining is a whole lot of wasted energy.
Resources: I didn't really use any resources. I guess my husband may have helped because his response to complaining really deters me. -He tries to solve complaints like they're actual problems, which they're not. So why should I talk about them if it they aren't problems that I need help solving?
