How to learn to play bass guitar

How I did it: I've been playing since I was 7, now I'm 17. My dad makes double-basses, so it was just obvious that I would start playing, except I liked the bass guitar more ((I can play both)) Many lessons and practicing, been in a few bands, and eventually won a battle of the bands!
Lessons & tips: Dont stop! So many kids stop playing their interments during middle school, and its such a waste of talent. Keep it up! It turns out great in the end. My band and I have won town battle of the bands and such because we never gave up.
