How to write more poetry
"Keep a pen and paper with you all the time."
How I did it: Whenever a rhyme turned up in my head, I wrote it down. Even if it was a bunch of incoherent lines. I didn't complete every poem. I just wrote whatever came to my mind. If I had a blck, I left it and went back to it another day. Some days I write 2 poems a day, sometimes it takes me 2 weeks to get one down.
Lessons & tips: Don't plan it. Let it just happen. The only important thing is that when something comes up in your head, make sure you have some way of noting it down so that you don't forget it.
Resources: Pen, Paper, A cellphone for saving random lines as a draft in case I didn't have pen and paper.
