How I did it: Purchased my dress (as seen on pic) and shoes online months ahead in June when the exchange rate was considerably better. Had my hair done professionally by a popular hair stylist. Makeup and nails were done by yours truly. I was surprised with how well it all turned out.
Lessons & tips: Prepare beforehand, don't leave things to the last minute! Don't experiment with new cosmetics and skincare products days before in case of allergic reactions. It's best to get your makeup done by a professional makeup artist unless you cannot afford it or if you're sure you can handle it. If you intend to purchase any items online, do your research and beware of fraudulent sellers. Also, remember to accessorise on the night! Wear earrings, or a necklace. Try to colour-coordinate your makeup and accessories according to your skin tone (cool or warm) and shade. It'll enhance your facial features. Furthermore, it's important to know that less is more so don't overdo the makeup or accessories. Finally, be confident and smile!

I wouldn’t know as I didn’t have my makeup done professionally. I had to do it myself (there wasn’t any time). I think it’d cost around $30-$100 depending on where you get it done. I reside in Australia and assuming that you live elsewhere, the costs would vary greatly but if not, expect to fork out that much.
