How to find a way to make this Christmas unique and wonderful for all my loved ones
"It was fun going through the old and forgotten family pictures to put together a gift that everyone will remember and cherish. "
How I did it: - scanned the family pictures I had.
- spent a week at my parent's house scanning more pictures.
- asked everyone in the family to submit any pictures they were able to give.
- went through my music collection to find songs that not only fit the pictures but were good for the family.
- put it all together using Imovie and IDVD on my Macbook.
Lessons & tips: - pick different kinds of music. My choices werer heavy metal, 80s new wave, standard, motown, and country.
- Allow enough time when each picture is playing for people to get a good look and maybe say what was going on at the time.
- mix the old pictures with the new. Kids get bored easy, but they love seeming themselves on TV. Keep everyone guessing what picture will be next.
- be thoughtful. Don't put pictures up that may hurt someone's feelings.
Resources: - a scanner
- IMovie and IDVD
- a varied music collection.
- input from others

Thanks
I am sure they will enjoy it, but not as much as I enjoyed putting it together. It was fun to go through the old pictures. Trying different was to put them together. Figuring out what songs to use. Being grateful I have a family to do this for and we all pretty much get along.
I just did my final revision. I added my cousin’s new baby (born two weeks ago). Volume two will include her sister’s baby that is due the end of January.
I have ten days to get the dvd burnt and to label all the pictures for the companion cd.
