How I did it: Through the apple website i was able to download an alarm clock for my computer that will play an itunes song. It plays any song that you would like it to and you can change the song with a click of the button without having to reset the alarm. THere is an "easy awake" option which starts of super quiet and it gradually gets louder over the course of 2 minutes (you can select for it to happen quicker if you want). This is a much more pleasent way to wake up than an annoying alarm. Also i'm on the top bunk of a bunk bed at college so i have to jump down and turn off the alarm before it wakes my roommate. by then i'm awake and i play games on the computer while i eat breakfast.
Lessons & tips: having a tolerable alarm sound to wake up to helps a lot. I also have a work buddy who texts me every morning asking if i'm up. if not she gives me a call. she's never had to call me sense we started doing this months ago, because i've always responded to her texts!
