How to learn to type without looking at the keyboard by champagnedream

How I did it: All the typing classes in elementary, middle and even high school didn't hold a candle to the speed and skill I derived from talking on AIM as a teenager.  Holding down six conversations at once without pissing anyone off from making them wait too long for a response?  Oh yeah.  That'll do it.

I've typed over 80wpm since about the end of my freshman year of high school for this reason.  If you're struggling to type as fast or as well as you'd like to ... seriously, just spend more time on the internet.  It'll come naturally over time, and there are websites at which you can have your accuracy and speed measured every once in a while if you're curious as to how much you've been improving.

I love being able to touch type,

especially when someone comes into the office and I turn to talk to them without pausing… just keeping on typing… it’s a bit like showing off but I like it :-)

Incidentally, it says on her Wikipedia entry that Janine would be 50 now! 50! God, I love Ghostbusters. I haven’t watched it for at least three weeks. Might roll it on out again this weekend.
