Leezel is having a good day!
Jealous!
You even have Snoopy in the background. That’s awesome!!!
How I did it: When I was a little girl I would watch the parade on TV and wish I could be standing in the crowd. At the time I lived in IL so I never thought there would be any chance that I would even come close to NYC, especially during Thanksgiving! Well, believe it or not, I moved to NJ last year and my boyfriend asked if I would like to go. We left the house around 6:15am and got into the city by 7:30am. There were bomb threats on the subway so they had military officials everywhere. When we got the streets there were lots of intersections blocked off so you have to pretty much walk up 5th Ave until you find a side street that's not blocked off and that will let you walk over to Broadway. We were pretty close to the street (we stood in Times Square). I didn't layer myself enough so I was freezing and couldn't stay the whole time. When we turned around to leave, there were so many people that it took about 15 min to get through the crowd! Next year we are going even earlier w/ chairs so we can sit up close; we are also going to dress much warmer.
Lessons & tips: Get there by 6am if you want to stand in front. Dress as warm as possible!
Resources: I just googled "Macy's Thanksgiving Parade" to find out info.
