How to finish a novel
How I did it: I was in a novel class, so I had that incentive, which was helpful. But I just wrote a little bit every day, until the deadline day and then I wrote 10,000 words in one day. 4,000 words a week is a good pace, though.
Lessons & tips: WRITE EVERY DAY, even if it's a blog.
Resources: One tip I liked is to set little goals and reward yourself as you hit them. On my last day, in which I wrote 10,000 words, I made a little hash mark on a note card with a highlighter for every one hundred words I wrote. For some reason, seeing some kind of product as I was writing spurred me on. I just really wanted a note card full of hash marks.
