How I did it: I managed to get a role of supernumerary on a recent professional UK tour during my local dates. The extras were recruited via local amdram groups of which I was a member and we were given details of the rehearsal which we must've attended. I skipped college to attend it (worth it) and that night I was on stage!

Lessons & tips: Be in the right place at the right time. If you aren't in the right circles, you honestly will get absolutely nowhere.
