Where?
So what was your dream college? (And congratulations!)
happykites is staying up way too late.
:)
Thank you!
It was the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA. It’s a small liberal arts school that’s state funded.
How I did it: After visiting the school and making the decision to apply early, I started the application one month before it was due but ended up procrastinating on much of it until the night of the deadline anyways. I had my English teacher read over my essay with me, as well as a trusted friend who already attends the college I was applying to. After I clicked submit, there was a very long month of waiting.
Lessons & tips: It's the same thing you always hear: make good grades, try your best on the SAT/ACT, get involved in an activity or two that you're passionate about, work hard on your essay. If your school has a career counselor, definitely meet with this person! They are a great help.
Resources: I applied using the Common Application, which is very easy and can be used for many schools across the country.
