How to take my eldest on a holiday to Center Parcs
"It was worth it, if only to establish his tolerance limits."
How I did it: We moved Eldest to a different care establishment, one that was a lot more progressive than the previous one. We managed to negotiate the funding, but the actual logistics were a nightmare, that was in part due to the accounts department booking the holiday in the wrong name.
He did enjoy himself, but also found it difficult to adapt.
Lessons & tips: Eldest finds a change of scene difficult, so going away on holiday is stressful for him. In the future, I think he would do better staying put.
