How to make my Christmas Gifts
How I did it: I sat down and looked at my gift list several months ago. Time is key. I decided what skills I had that would be useful and what projects I would enjoy doing. I tried to use supplies that I had to cut costs and then tackled one project at a time. When a project got boring or I was uninspired I would try a smaller project that I could finish quickly.
Lessons & tips: 1. Plan, plan, plan
2. Give yourself enough time to complete, better to have them done in November than in Janaury
3. Pick projects you will enjoy making. If you are miserable it will show in your wokr
4. Use your resources wisely. Don't go spend $100 on supplies because you might as well just go buy the gift. Check thrift stores, friends houses, and garage sales for supplies.
5. Avoid perfectionism. The small flaws are the character of home made gifts.
