How to own a Mac
It made me 
"Oh, my Mac, you were so long coming, and so worth the wait!"
How I did it: I was working to earn tuition money for an internship program at the same time my terror of a laptop was making life miserable for me. I had worked on other people's MacBooks and wanted one of my own desperately. It took me 18 months of throwing every paycheck straight into a bank account to be sure I could afford it, but I finally budgeted out enough to buy a refurbished 15" MacBook Pro from the Apple store. I couldn't be more delighted!
Lessons & tips: Buying refurbished from the online Apple store is an excellent way to go. You get a Mac that has been more thoroughly tested, and it's less expensive!
