How I did it: Starting in the sixth grade I stopped doing my homework.  Then, halfway through my freshman year, I decided I wanted to do it, but couldn't prioritize right.  I worked at it and convinced myself to just get it done.     :)

Lessons & tips: Even if you want to do something else, promise yourself that you will reward yourself if you do your homework first.
