How to have a job
How I did it: I decided to get a job shortly after I turned sixteen. I happened to be at a store I liked and decided I might as well apply. Before I even had a chance to apply anywhere else, I had an interview and was hired. That was pretty nice.
I stayed with the same company for nearly a year and a half and got to work in several different areas. It was a great experience: I gained new skills, learned to better work with a team, and, of course, made quite a lot of money!
Lessons & tips: Be willing to go beyond your job description and fill whatever need you see. Do the jobs everyone else complains about with a smile on your face. Ask questions to learn how to better do your job. Take the chance to learn other jobs when it's given to you. You'll be given a lot more opportunity and advancement in your workplace (not to mention a possible raise).
