How to see Gwen Stefani in person
How I did it: I found out Gwen Stefani was touring in my city. And I have wanted to see No Doubt in concert ever since I was in the 7th or 8th grade. Well, this wasn't No Doubt (Gwen was doing her solo tour) but it still was Gwen!!
The tickets closest to the stage were really expensive and none of my friends were willing to pay that much. But I didn't want to miss out, so I bought a ticket anyway and went by myself. This turned out to be a good thing for a few reasons.
First of all, even if I went with my close friends, I wouldn't have paid ANY attention to them. When your favorite performer is in the same room as you, it's all you care about.
Second, when Gwen came out on stage I started bawling and screaming. Tears were streaming down my face. I was SO HAPPY! But that is a little embarrassing, so its a good thing no one I knew was there.
Lessons & tips: If you want to see someone in concert - GO! Don't worry about tickets being too expensive. It IS worth the money, if you really like them. I am planning on paying whatever it takes to be close to the stage when No Doubt goes on their 2009 tour. And I know it will be the experience of a lifetime. And it will be worth every penny.
Resources: None, really. Just have a little savings stored away for concerts so that when your favorite band/performer finally comes to town, you will have enough to buy tickets.
