AMGL is seriously pruning her goals.
I am going to do this!
Very cool. Really interesting!
How I did it: First, I brainstormed up a list of words that might have some resonance for me. The list was:
Creative
Fresh Start
Glamor
Writing
Lower Stress
Respect
Fun
Rest
Learn
Read
Teaching
Variety
Love
Path Finding
I didn't worry if the words were nouns or verbs or adjectives. Just a list. Then, I drew arrows between those that were related, to see if there was a pattern, or if that would generate more words. Then I put the whole thing away.
Days later, in meditation, a completely different word came to mind: consolidation. This is the word I ended up choosing.
Lessons & tips: While words are verbal/left-brain, this is a process that I think needs to come out of the right brain. Rather than be logical, you need to be intuitive to find the right word for you.
mindrec Setting priorities.
Not a resolution, exactly. But done on New Years Eve. I like to sum up the past year in a single word. Well, I used to. I will again this year (maybe below). The word becomes very significant over time. It helps with “closure”.
2008, My Year Of…
Rhythm
Sanity
Necessity
Want
I’m leaning toward Rhythm (it was just revealed to me). But want has multiple meanings to me (Could suggest “don’t want”, even that I haven’t wanted FOR anything).
Now, I realize a new “significant” word almost daily (most recently, it was SIGNIFICANT). Smile.
For 2009 (a resolution): Maybe…
Melody (rather than harmony)!
