How to try geocaching

How I did it: I asked for a GPS unit for my birthday one year. Obviously that's essential. Then I got my boyfriend excited about trying it out as well because it's way more fun (and safe) to go on these adventures with other people. We went hiking, we found caches, and we got hooked.
Lessons & tips: Micros are really micro! I didn't know to pay attention to the sizing scale on the Cache descriptions until after a few can't finds. A micro can be the size of a watch battery! I'd say don't try fo those until you get the hang of it.
