anxious?
Do you know why it made you anxious? And are you still meditating now that the 30 days are over?
Nico Needs a reset
Nah, I stopped after those 30 days.
Well I kind of forced myself to just sit there for about 10 to 15 minutes, and that was pretty tough. The distracting noises from outside, recurring thoughts and stuck songs in my head. Basically since I wasn’t busy with other things, my mind just went hyper, and I was annoyed by that, having the urge to just get up and do other stuff again, even after just a minute or so.
So that’s what I meant with anxious, uneasiness might have been a better word.
*edit- Hmmz, now that I mention it, I did write it was relaxing. It doesn’t seem that way, but it was mainly relaxing after I did it, probably because I could do other fun stuff again. :)
I must note though, that sometimes it did go well and it was nice, during meditation. But many times it was like I wrote above.
Meditation is effortless. If you feel anxious you are probably forcing it. there is no perfect state to be in. It’s not about achieving nirvana in one sitting. It’s about letting it (life, the meditative moment, your feeling) wash over you while you are in your ‘meditative’ state. Let noises annoy you, hear the songs in your head. and then go back to breathing, your mantra or whatever.
If it is a goal you aspired to, it’s probably worth it.
Try Vipassana.
Just plain breathing from your stomach.
try walking meditation.
Day by Day it will come to you.
Dont give up.
Practice morality—> Meditation.
Acknowledge senses—> Meditation
