How I did it: I bent a wire hanger into a circle shape.  Then I used twist ties to put the branches on the hanger.  When I had the big branches on, I stuck some more littler ones in to fill it out more.  And after it was all put together I wrapped some ribbon around the whole thing.

Lessons & tips: Maybe wear a pair of latex gloves.  Unless of course you like being sticky and tree-smelling.  ^_^
