How to get a digital camera
How I did it: I gave some money to my mother, and we picked out a suitable camera from Kodak's website. The one I'm getting has 8.1 Megapixels, and a 5x optical zoom. You can also take videos with it, which is cool. She's getting it for me, so perhaps this is not much of a 'how did you do it' story, but oh well!
I'm really happy to be getting one, as recently I've become interested in flowers and trees etc, and it will be really handy to have a record of the various forms of wildlife I see when I'm out, as well as for identification.
Lessons & tips: Have a mother who's also got a good camera pick one out for you!! No, seriously, buying online is a good bet, as you can compare different models more easily and make sure of exactly what features each camera has than if you buy in Argos or wherever.
