"I can finally say I love my hair"
How I did it: I had super curly waist length hair for about 4 years and had kept it that way because I was afraid to lose it. After spending hours a day straightening to make it look presentable and ending up wearing a ponytail anyway, I decided I needed a change. I had a haircut I liked in mind for years but never had the guts to do it, mostly because I was afraid of what others would think, especially my overprotective family. I had been taking cosmetology classes which sparked my interest even more. One night I got fed up and just jumped and did it. I went from waist length hair to hair about 3 inches past my shoulders. It felt so liberating and my head was lighter. A few months later, I decided to go shorter with a shoulder length haircut with choppy layers and a fringe. I love it and its so easy to straighten. I feel so much better about myself and will do it again.
Lessons & tips: Make sure you know what you want. Remember hair grows back, and there's always extensions if you hate it that bad. Do what YOU want, rather than let others decide for you. Take a picture to the salon with the style you like
