How to give a Kiva loan by Rebecca

"Through Yannigan's amazing generosity, I was able to make a loan to a woman in Nicaragua to help with her clothing business."

How I did it: A fellow 43thinger, Yannigan, saw that I had "Make a Kiva Loan" as a goal and gave me a gift certificate as a way to help me meet the goal.  Wow!  And now it's my turn to pass it on.

micro loans

How do these loans work? Do you get any return on the money you loan, or is it more of a donation?

Rebecca is back and ready to rock and roll.

The money is repaid to Kiva, then made available to the lender to be re-loaned to another borrower. Does that make sense?
