How to love my body
How I did it: This happened while I was away in Shanghai. I had been feeling generally pretty low about my appearance and shape and all sorts of things. I was getting changed in the tiny bathroom of my shared dorm room and caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror. I usually cringe but this time I stopped to admire my shape. Weird, I know but I did. I could see that with a little healthy exercise that I had neglected there was a shape I loved and had always wanted to be. I guess it was just a sudden realization type thing.
Lessons & tips: Dress and undress in front of a mirror slowly. Watch how your body curves as you do so. Think what parts of you make you smile for whatever reason and what parts of you make you want to run and hide.
Resources: A good mirror and some harsh fluro lights in a small bathroom.
