""It's cold, but I'm happy to be cold in Alaska!""
How I did it: Well, I've worked up here since I was 18. I'm 26 now, and I decided that I should make moving to Alaska a reality. I worked with a guy on the boat that was from Anchorage. He said that if I wanted to move to Alaska I could live with him. When I was back home in California I got on the internet and bought a plane ticket. I arrived here on November 19th, 2008. So, ever since then I've been living here in Anchorage. I do not plan on moving back to the lower 48, I love it here. I do not normaly like big cities, but Anchorage is totally awesome. If not to move, it would still be a great place to visit. There is so much to do here. You can never get bored
Lessons & tips: If you plan on moving to Alaska by air, I recommend going staight through alaskaair.com Unlike other sites they have a price calander that really helped me to find the lowest price during the month.
Resources: Friends, alaskaair.com, and working on a fishing boat helped me get to Alaska.
