How I did it: Just spur of the moment. On the way back from New England to the West Coast, I thought the long trip deserved a more comfortable position. I had always wondered about the tray tables in first class too. The experience in New England was a constant family get together, so I needed a little break too.
Lessons & tips: I actually don't think you should do it everytime you fly, it just feels good to it and feel like you're important - to splurge. Make sure you invest in this on a longer type of flight!
