How I did it: OMG! Don't let people tell you thst its the same thing everywhere because its NOT! Memphis consists of so many conservative people it doesn't make any since! Hypocrites reside here and claim to hate racism but if you tell them ideas like making Black History Month into a month to celebrate all minorities they look at your funny and start laughing. Everyone here is so segregated and it consists of the most stuck up people
So I looked for all colleges out of state and moved to the college I liked best and got out of this damn city.
Lessons & tips: Just get out of Memphis or it'll make you think bad things about America.

I live in memphis, and it IS a VERY racist city, i hate that part about it.
AND all of the people that sponge off the government in my neighborhood…
you know the people, 2 kids (cause thats all the gov’t will pay for), but you dont marry the person you had the children with…then you dont work cause you get “enough” money through your ebt card…
thats almost he ONLY thing i hate about this city…

I find your entry to be very inspiring. I’m in michigan, and everything is moving very slowly. I am 16, I also plan to go out of state at 18. I really hate it when people say that it’s the same everywhere. IT ISN’T.
