How to get baptized.
How I did it: I thought about doing this for a long time. I finally found the church I wanted to attend regularly and I told the pastor (small church) that I wanted to be baptized. He asked me when and we set a date. Before hand, I read all of the scriptures I could find on baptism, because I wanted to know exactly why I was doing it and what it really meant, scripturally.
Lessons & tips: The day of, I brought some extra clothes to change into. My friends were very supportive during--one of them helped me get out of the baptistery, by taking my hand. We went out and celebrated afterwards. I then went out with another special friend a few days later to talk to her about it and show her pictures.
Resources: I learned that this may not be one of your most exciting or life-changing experiences with God, but it is your way of exhibiting to Him and to those around you that you are committed to the Lord.
