im planning on doing the same thing once my hair grows down to my hips, but the closer it gets the more nervous i am, any good pointers?
theres really not much you can do to prepare yourself. don’t let yourself back out! let yourself be sad and cry if you want, it is just hair but its definitely a challenge unlike any other. what helped me was to think of it as a renewing process, thinking about what the new fuzzy had seen compared to what the long old hair had seen, and how i’m not carrying that with me anymore. and to think about the women who have to shave their heads for medical reasons, like if they have cancer, and how worrying about their hair takes backseat to possibly losing their lives.
you’ll quickly find out who appreciates it and who doesnt. i go to school in san francisco which definitely fosters different hairstyles, but going home to orange county was difficult.

thanks for the advice. did you make a video or take any pics of the big event? i only got about 3 months left by my guess before the big day and i have no idea where to begin :-P
