How I did it: Tossing clothes on the floor was a hard habit to break. I had circumstance on my side: my new house in the mountains has cold, damp concrete floors. The high humidity and damp floors make anything set on them susceptable to going moldy. Avoiding mildew was the main factor, but after a while the habit was broken and not I don't toss clothes on the floor no matter where I am.
Lessons & tips: Make sure you really have enough room for all your clothes in their designated hanging/folding area. If you are a mind-changer during the dressing stage of your day, hang or fold it back up right away.
