How to do well on the SAT
How I did it: I took classes over the summer (2008). 3 times a week for 4 hours each.
Classes weren't boring at all, and it kept my mind, well, functioning, over the summer break. From July to the end of August, I practiced. School started in September so I didn't have much time. In September, I took a practice test and studied on weekends.
In October, I took the test.
On October 22 (3 days before my birthday!) I woke up at 5am and checked my score. I was a bit disappointed with my CR score, but I'll take the 2320.
Lessons & tips: Utilize your summer, and take it in October of your junior year (or earlier if you can). It will open up so many doors for you in applying for scholarships and summer programs!
