good to SEE changes happening!
It must have felt wonderful to have friends along, especially when you could use them as your “control” group to see your own progress!
Thanks for posting this story. It was inspirational. :)
How I did it: i downloaded suz's podcast (you can google), which was a collection of hip hop, pop, and 80s songs set to the training regimen (watch out for wk 4, it has rough lyrics). i usually ran in my neighborhood, and some mornings with friends (who ran faster and slower than me, depending on the week!). I saw how much I was growing as a runner because of how my pace changed compared to my running buddies who were not doing the program. Try not to run more than 2 days in a row, do every other day if you can swing it. This is how I prevented injuries.
Lessons & tips: dont aim for perfection...if one day is too hard, you can always take a few days off or try that run again. you can run as slow as you need to. but sometimes you will surprise yourself by doing better than you expected!! take it easy on your off days..you don't always have to do weights or something else..sometimes the program is enough
