How to eat at a Hard Rock Cafe
How I did it: I was scheduled to have brain surgery in Baltimore so I went out to eat with my family the night before the surgery. I had to go down to the hospital for an MRI where they stuck these little stickers on my head for them to use during surgery so I had about eight stickers on my forehead while we were eating there so I'm sure I looked like a freak...haha. Anyway, we got done with the MRI and went down to Baltimore National Harbor (where Hard Rock is) and had dinner there. Hard Rock is always really loud so it's kind of hard to talk to people unless you're sitting right across from them. Plus the Hard Rock we were at had really weird acoustics and we were sitting under this dome-type thing where you could hear other people's conversations really, really well from across the room. The food at Hard Rock isn't really good (I think they have some decent desserts) but if you like to look at guitars and other rock memorabilia on the wall then it's fun. It turned out to be the last place I went to outside of the hospital for a month - that's why I remember it so well! Plus, it was a good distraction to not think about how they were going to drill holes in my skull the next day. Oh yeah, I've been to the one in Nashville too - they're all the same.
Lessons & tips: It's not the best restaurant; they're kind of all tourist traps but if you want to be a tourist then go for it! :)
Resources: my dad's credit card ;) thanks dad!
