How I did it: Liked it long, but I grew it out much longer than normally I am comfortable with. I had to have 12 inches! My husband cut it off for me at home, and I mailed it away. It was really nice to get the postcard in the mail a short time later. It is incredible to think that my hair is helping a child somewhere feel better about their appearance. 

Lessons & tips: Think about saving the money from frequent hair cuts, and praise yourself often. Think about the child who will get the hair, and how much it will mean to them.
