How to visit 7 continents
How I did it: Mostly on business. ("Join the Air Force and see the world!")
Once DH and I had each done 5 continents I said we'd go to Antarctica if we got to the 6th thru work. Took nearly 10 years between #6 and #7.
Went to Antarctica just to check the box, but it turned into so much more! Our favorite trip!
Lessons & tips: Antacrtica...read the fine print. Only 100 pax a day can go ashore, so a smaller simpler ship is the way to go if you actually want to get to do anything. And be sure you're going to the Continent, not to the South Shetland Islands, which are a British territory. Many "Antarctic" cruises never get to the continent.
Go for the whole package: sleep on a glacier, swim at Deception Island, kayak thru the pack ice. So worth it!!!
