How to travel by myself
How I did it: My company sent me to a training course in Germany and provided me the airplane tickets. I just had to plan my vacations afterwards, which was all done through the internet.
Lessons & tips: What's more important than anything is to research about the place you're going beforehand. Best accomodations, how the weather is, where to go, transportation tips... This way you'll make the best of your money and time and the major setbacks will be under control.
Resources: Internet is the biggest resources. Especially travel sites as TripAdvisor and forums where I discussed with people who had already been to my itinerary before. Also travel guides in paper are excellent. Sometimes you won't find internet as easily as you expect during your trip and having a book with me has once saved me!
