How to do pilates regularly
"I lost almost 20 pounds in 5 months by working out on a Reformer machine."
How I did it: Private Reformer classes are too expensive so when I found a great deal on a refurbished machine, I grabbed it. I work out 3 times a week for 30-40 minutes a session. My mind and body loves this workout. The backs of my thighs have never been this firm in my life!
Lessons & tips:
- Concentrate on the muscles I'm engaging as I do each and every rep
- 3 times a week is best for me - I did 5 times for a while but my ankles and feet started hurting.
- Doing a workout you truly love makes exercising much more fun.
- Doing a few semi-private lessons before I bought the machine showed me that this was both exercise that I loved, and exercise that would really make a difference in my body.
