NinaWills feels a lot better now. :-)
So.. despite the let down
..what’s your favourite Smashing Pumpkin track? ;)
feuerfrei is working on achieving a goal - so I can add another one to the list!
1979, it brings back some awesome memories :o).
How I did it: Firstly, let me say that I LOVE the Smashing Pumpkins. One of my favourite bands in the world. I found out that they were touring and I was over the moon. They were going to be in my country while I was in another city, but by a stroke of luck they were playing that city too (something that doesn't happen too often!) I had to change my flights (at great cost) and book an extra night in our hotel. However, the concert was a let down. There was no passion, I felt as though the band did not want to be there (ESPECIALLY Billy, who acted like we should have been worshipping him...whether or not he ACTUALLY felt that way, I don't know) and it showed in their performance. Plus the sound was bad, but that's more to do with the venue.
Other people who I spoke to who went that night, and to their next concert said the same thing.
Everyone has their off nights so for the sake of my love for the Pumpkins, I'm going to put it down to that. If they come back, I will see them again and hopefully it will be awesome :) the real reason I am saying it wasn't worth it was the amount of money it cost me to attend (after changing flights, bookings, etc and buying tickets it was very expensive!).
