"This was my second NaNoWriMo win, and it went a lot easier than the first time, in spite of the fact that I'm working full time now!"
How I did it: I had a great setting, having just completed a two-week rafting trip in the Grand Canyon. My characters were not well realized but I got it done by putting in a lot of description of the canyon and the logistics of the trip. "Write-ins" with other Tucson NaNoWriMos were crucial to me getting it done.
Lessons & tips: Go to write-ins if there are any in your area. If you prose stinks, just hold your nose and keep writing!
